If you like walking or just taking it easy Spey Bay can do both. We are situated on the Speyside Way, a footpath from Buckie to Aviemore taking you through some beautiful country-side with plenty of stops on the way. Or you can bird watch from the many view points in the area. The river is only 500m from the house.

Surfing at the mouth of the River Spey is quite popular with the locals. This photo was taken on the 28th of February 2006 when the water temperature was about five degrees.

Four Golf courses are visible from your accommodation and they don't cost a fortune to play. The local course is 200m away at the Spey Bay Hotel where you book your round.

Many visitors venture to the high cliffs to watch the Puffins and Gannets and many other seabirds as they go about their daily routine.

This is my favourite photo of a Puffin, mouth full of fish and a safe landing.

These photos were taken by Tony and Tracey from Chorley, regular visitors to Spey Bay. The Gannet and Puffin colony are at Troop Head just along the coast.

They alight on the water next to the boats looking for an easy catch.

Viewed from Troop Head, these birds seem motionless in the updraft the closest you can get to them on land.
